Maximiliano Nicolás Pullaro Hughes was born on December 6, 1974, in Argentina. He holds a degree in political science from the National University of Rosario.Political Career
Pullaro began his political career in the Frente Progresista alliance. He served as a provincial deputy from 2011 to 2015 and as the mayor of the city of Santa Fe from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, he was elected governor of Santa Fe, becoming the first non-Peronist to hold the position in over 20 years.
As governor, Pullaro has focused on economic development, education, and security. He has implemented policies to attract investment, create jobs, and improve public schools. He has also taken a tough stance on crime, increasing police presence and implementing a number of crime-prevention programs.
Pullaro is a member of the Evolución political party, which is led by Martín Lousteau. He is considered to be a potential presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
