Israel Adesanya: UFC Commentator Jon Anik Says Emotional Reactions Are Nothing to Worry About

Anik, who called the action for Strickland’s massive win, was asked about those reactions.

UFC commentator Jon Anik isn't concerned by Israel Adesanya getting emotional at this week's UFC 305.

Based on Jon Anik's Instagram comment, he believes Israel Adesanya's win at UFC 287 could compete with McGregor vs. Poirier 3 for Fight of the Year.

Adesanya, who is known for his stoic demeanor, showed a rare display of emotion after his win over Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

Anik, who was on commentary for the fight, said he believes Adesanya's emotions were a sign of relief and joy.

"I think he was just so relieved to get that win," Anik said. "He's been through a lot lately, and I think that win meant a lot to him."

Anik also said he doesn't think Adesanya's emotions will be a problem going forward.

"I think he's still the same guy," Anik said. "He's just a little more emotional right now. But I don't think that's going to affect his performance in the octagon."
